Biography--

Susan Loveall, 88, of Windhaven Assisted Living Center of the Western Home Communities, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at her home.

Susan was born December 15, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Frank H. and Genevieve Jeffrey Walter. She married George Anthony Loveall, Jr. June 16, 1951 in Ames. He died June 3, 2002.

Susan graduated from East Waterloo High School in 1947. She attended Francis Shimmer College in Mt. Carroll, Illinois from 1947‑1948, and received her Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University June 15, 1951. She was a social worker at Montgomery County Child Welfare Board in Dayton, Ohio from 1951 to 1953. She then was the Bookkeeper for her husband’s business, ALO Corporation for 19 years until his retirement in 1990. Susan was also a homemaker.

Susan was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ. A member of Delta Delta Delta in college, a Sustaining Member of Junior League of Waterloo and Cedar Falls, Iowa State Women’s Club, and PEO Chapter OF.

Survivors include her son Peter (Earline) Loveall of Melissa, Texas; daughter-in-law Linda Loveall of Walnut Creek, California; a granddaughter Chelsea Loveall of Hayward, California; and a brother-in-law Charles Zeleny of Bedford, Texas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews: Tom Thiltgen, Hal Rossow, Cathy Walter, James (Jane) Walter, Jr, Frank Zeleny, and Joan Zeleny.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, David Loveall; sister, Jeanne Zelen;, and a brother, James J. (Arly) Walter; as well as nieces and nephews: Mary Thiltgen, Susan Rossow, and John Walter.
