Obituary for Kenneth Troester

Kenneth Troester, 89, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Thursday, March 30, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

He was born July 8, 1927, in Clayton County, Iowa, the son of Louis and Caroline Brase Troester. He married Elaine Waskow on September 10, 1955 in Cedar Rapids.

Kenneth was employed as a Federal Food Inspector with the USDA.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Waterloo; his children: Cynthia (Steve) Bardsley of Waterloo, Gary Troester of Steamboat Springs, CO. and Steve (Joni) Troester Iowa City; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Delbert Troester, Ray Troester, and Orville Troester; and by three sisters: Helen Hawkins, Florence Schroeder, and Ilo Thoma.

Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 27, at Ascension Lutheran Church with inurnment at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.
