Obituary for Lionel Guy Rosen--

Lionel Guy Rosen, 92, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Thursday, March 30, at home.

He was born August 18, 1924, in Chicago, IL, the son of Nathan and Selma Rosen. He married Melba “Bebe” Greenman, the love of his life, on April 4, 1948, in Urbana, IL.

Guy served as a pilot in the United States Navy and owned Neal’s, Linda J’s, and L.J. Neal’s clothing stores in Waterloo and Cedar Falls. He was a member of Sons of Jacob Synagogue.

Survivors include his children: Neal (Pat) Rosen of Bellingham, MA, Linda (Larry) Rauch of Los Angeles, CA, and Jeff (Rebecca) Rosen of Leawood, KS; ten grandchildren: Christopher Rosen of Windsor, CO, Sara (Jared) Fertman of Maplewood, NJ, Mariel Rosen of Brighton, MA, Drs. Jeffrey (Golnaz) Rauch of Irvine, CA, Noah Rauch (Talya Horowitz) of New York City, Emily (Brent) Stoller of Houston, TX, Leigh (Jay) Gantz of Philadelphia, PA, Kate Rosen of San Francisco, CA, Meg (Will) Marshall of Seattle, WA, and Stephanie Rosen of St. Louis, MO; and six great-granchildren: Sophia, Jonah, Juniper, Mika, Bennett, Penn and Madeline.

Preceded in death by his wife, Bebe Rosen.

Services will be private with burial in Beth Olem Section of Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Sons of Jacob Synagogue.
