Dwayne Leon Hulme was born on July 16, 1956, in Waterloo, the son of Paul and Mary (Rohach) Hulme. He grew up in Traer and graduated from North Tama High School. Dwayne worked as a truck driver for Whannel’s, Randolph’s, and Cooper Farms. He also helped his brother, Gary, with Hulme Construction and helped farm with John “Artie” Kostlan.

Dwayne enjoyed bowling, spending time with his friends and family, and was an avid Green Bay Packer and New York Yankee fan. Dwayne died at the age of 60 on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Dwayne is survived by his parents, Paul and Mary Hulme of Traer; a daughter, Sidney Hulme of Traer; a sister, Denise (Loren) Wrage of Clutier; a brother, Gary (Sue) Hulme of Traer; a twin brother, Dwight (Denise Overton) Hulme of Traer; and several nieces and nephews.
