Jeffrey Paul Nickel was born on June 5, 1963, in Waterloo, the son of Harold and Janis (Breakenridge) Nickel. He graduated from North Tama High School. Jeffrey was united in marriage with Tracy Weida on May 31, 1986. He loved his dogs and children. Jeffrey also enjoyed fishing and being in the mountains of Colorado.
Jeffrey died at the age of 53 on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his mother; and son, Alex Nickel.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Tracy Nickel of Traer; a son, Zachary Nickel of Waterloo; a daughter, Jessica Nickel of Southgate, MI; his father, Harold (Pat) Nickel of Cedar Falls; and two brothers: Scott Nickel of Richfield, MN; and Mike Nickel of Pardeeville, WI.
