Ronald Warren “Buck” Hibben, 74, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home on Tuesday, July, 19, 2016, of metastatic prostate cancer.

He was born November 21, 1941 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Russell E. and Ione I. (Brown) Hibben. Buck graduated from East Waterloo High School in 1960, served in the U. S. Army, and then attended the University of Northern Iowa. Buck worked in many different areas, including real estate sales, insurance sales, and manufacturing. He worked for 30 years at John Deere, retiring in January 2002 as a Manufacturing Supervisor in the Weld Operations.

Buck is survived by his wife of 29 years, Linda (Garber) Hibben, of Cedar Falls; three sons, R. Scott (Christine) Hibben of Mesa, Arizona, Daniel (Kim) Hibben of Waterloo, and Blake (Ruby) Hibben of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Jordan and Taylor Hibben of Mesa, Arizona, and Zacchary Hibben (Megan Brayton) of New Ulm, Minnesota; two step-grandchildren, Luke and Justin, of Waterloo; a great-granddaughter, Delilah Hibben, of New Ulm, Minnesota; two brothers, Russell (Leona) Hibben of Dubuque, Iowa and Jim (Joan) Hibben of Deltona, Florida; many nieces and nephews, and his former wife, Karen Hibben-Levi.

Buck is preceded in death by a son, Marc Robert Hibben, his parents, and two brothers Robert J. and R. Bruce Hibben.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Waterloo, with inurnment at Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls, at a later date. Visitation will be 4—7:00 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service will be conducted. Visitation also one hour before service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, 2101 Kimball Ave. #401, Waterloo, IA 50702. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
