Rev. Paul Huffman, 89, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Sunday, August 21 2016, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was born June 21, 1927, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Lois (Wilhite) Huffman. Paul earned his degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. He married Amy Bisbing March 23, 1947.

Paul served in the United States Army during World War II. He earned his degree at the Indiana Wesleyan University. He was a minister in the Wesleyan Church for many years, serving churches in the Iowa and Minnesota districts. Paul served as a Chaplin for some years in the Minneapolis police department.

Paul is survived by his wife, Amy Huffman, of Cedar Falls; one son, Jan (Regena) Huffman, of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Jo (Jerry) Sloan, of Salem, Oregon and Judy Crew, of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by parents, one brother, Dan Huffman and two sisters, Edith Garrison and Naomi Thomas.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Faith Wesleyan Church with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49. Memorials may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
