Wayne Norbert Delagardelle, 63, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was born April 10, 1953, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Vincent and Mary (Frost) Delagardelle. Wayne graduated from Janesville High School and worked for John Deere & Company in Waterloo. He then went on to work in the food industry for over 30 years, managing a Sirloin Stockade, franchise representative for Hardees at numerous locations, including Waterloo, Des Moines, St. Cloud, Minnesota and Chicago, Illinois. Wayne also was Operations Manager for Bruegger’s Bagels in Las Vegas, Nevada. For the past 10 years, he worked for Wapsie Pines.

Wayne is survived by his mother, Mary Delagardelle, of Cedar Falls; his brother, David (Beth) Delagardelle, of Waterloo; his four sisters, Anita (Phillip) Destival of Sumner, Iowa, Marlys (Russ) Fischels of Independence, Iowa, Annette (Dale) Montross of Dallas, Texas and Joy (Jeff) Campbell of Ridgeway, Iowa, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Michael Delagardelle, and a sister, Jolene Miller.

Visitation will be 4—7:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2016, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with private burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls, at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.

Wayne enjoyed and humored his co-workers at Wapsie Pines and loved serving customers. He also was the primary caretaker for his mother Mary, following his father’s death in 2014.
