Ralph V. Souders, 91, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Great River Care Center in McGregor, Iowa.

He was born on December 15, 1924, in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, the son of Ray and Sue (Hartman) Souders. He married Louise E. Rogers on April 20, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, whom he loved and cared for until her death on June 30, 2005.

Ralph served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1945, and graduated from Cornell College with a degree in Business Administration in 1948. He was a sales representative for McKesson Drug Company for 36 years, retiring in 1982. More recently he worked for Falls Road Drug in Waterloo. He was a member of First Evangelical Free Church, AMVETS and the American Legion

Ralph loved to talk and laugh with anyone, even perfect strangers, and was a friend to everyone he met.

Ralph is survived by one daughter, Ann (Timm) Brom, of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; one son Ray Souders, of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Sarah (Brad) Lindsay, Tim (Grace) Brom, Daniel (Abbie) Brom, Elizabeth Brom and Luke Brom, and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bruce and Ramon Souders, and two sisters, Agnes Souders and Verna McManus.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2016, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Military honors will be presented by the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation will be 3—5 p.m. Sunday, December 18, and one hour before services at the funeral home on Monday.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Bible Conference, where Ralph served as an usher for many years.
