Biography--

Jane Slykhuis, 70, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016, near Liberal, Kansas, along with her husband Jerry.

She was born December 17, 1946, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of John Thomas and Marjorie (Forrest) Manlove. Jane married Jerry Slykhuis June 2, 1973 in Fort Madison, Iowa. She worked for many years for UNI as a Disabled Coordinator.

She is survived by two sons, Steve (Ian) Siegel-Slykhuis, of Glen Cove, New York and Capt Matt (Johnnie) Slykhuis, of Fort Wainwright, Alaska; four grandchildren: Joella, Asher, Aiken, and Jesse Slykhuis.

Jane was preceded in death by parents

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with visitation at Nazareth Lutheran church, Wednesday, December 28, from 4:00 p. m. To 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials, may be directed in Jane and Jerry's honor. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
