Biography--

Dorothy J. Harris, 84, of Washburn, Iowa, and formerly of Genoa, Wisconsin, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at her home of natural causes.

Dorothy was born June 9, 1932 in Tripoli, Iowa the daughter of Ernst and Emma Kuhrt Drewis. She married Lee F. Harris June 11, 1950. He died October 9, 2013.

Dorothy worked at Schoitz and Covenant Hospital for 25 years retiring in 1988 as Linen Laundry supervisor.

Survivors include a son, Rick (Carol) Harris of Waterloo; daughter, Vicky (Mike) Markey of Waterloo; daughter, Brenda (Tony) Jochumsen of Hudson; daughter, Sue Harris of Washburn; and son, Scott Harris of Washburn. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, several great‑grandchildren, four great‑great-grandchildren; and a sister Delores Marlow of Des Moines.

Dorothy was preceded in death by sisters: Norma Schroeder, Lois Hunt, Ruth Drewis, Geneva Kerr, Blanche Sievers, Jeanette Harris; and brothers: Roland, Randy, Ralph, Erwin and Fredrick Drewis.
