Biography--

Kurt Alan Klammer, 49, of Cedar Falls, died at his home Monday, December 19, 2016.

Kurt was born on May 6, 1967 in Cedar Falls, son of Arnold "Hap" Klammer and Jeanette (Sells) Thomas.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1985.

Kurt married Jennifer J. Brown on January 1, 2000, in Hawaii.

He had previously worked at UNI, but was currently employed as a heavy equipment operator with Denver Construction.

Kurt enjoyed NASCAR, and was particularly a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan. He also loved all animals, especially his black lab named "Jr" in honor of Dale, Jr.

Kurt is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his father, Arnold “Hap” Klammer of Cedar Falls; his mother, Jeanette Thomas of Cedar Falls; a brother, Kent Klammer of Cedar Falls; a sister, Kellie (John) Burgin of Montreat, NC; a special aunt and uncle, Paul and Jo Ann Johnson of Cedar Falls; a stepdaughter, Heather (Zeb) Nicholson of Cedar Falls; and two step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arnie and Arvilla Klammer; and by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Rose "Posie" Sells.
