Biography--

Margaret “Sandy” Stout, 92, of Waverly, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Shell Rock Healthcare Center.

She was born November 13, 1924 in Clarksville the daughter of Helmuth H. and Mildred G. (Kimball) Heise. She was a graduate of the Finchford High School and received her nursing degree from Allen School of Nursing. She married Frank Sanders on June 24, 1945 in Cedar Falls; he preceded her in death in 1967. Sandy married Lafayette Stout on April 12, 1969 in Cedar Falls; he preceded her in death on September 17, 2002.

Sandy retired from Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls after working as a RN and Supervisor for over 25 years.

Sandy is survived by two daughters, Marsha Sanders of Shell Rock, Linda (Arno) Fabbro of Waverly; one son, Steven (Barb) Sanders of Oelwein; one step daughter, Diana Gruver of Waterloo; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Sanders of Cedar Falls; twelve grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one sister, Frieda Johns of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one son, Gary Sanders; two step children, William and Carol Stout; and by one brother, Donald Heise.
