Biography--

Shirley A. Tibbals, age 88, of Evansdale, died Monday, January 16, 2017 at Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls.

She was born December 14, 1928 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Sidney and Esther (Moen) Qual. Shirley graduated from Waterloo West High School with the Class of 1947. She was united in marriage with Robert Beasley. He preceded her in death. She married Curtis Tibbals, Sr. on March 19, 1959 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2009.

Shirley worked as a teacher’s associate in the Waterloo Community Schools for 6 years. She was a faithful, active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale and treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons: Ron (Noemi) Beasley of Austin, TX, Curt (Deb) Tibbals and Brett Tibbals, all of Evansdale; four daughters: Susan (Joe) Rodgers of Lanesboro, MN, Denise (Joe) Card of Evansdale, Cindy (Dave) Weyland of Gilbertville and Christi (Chad) Sires of Evansdale; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a son, Jerry Tibbals; a daughter, Carmen Tibbals; a twin brother, Sid Qual and a sister, Mae Campbell.
