OBITUARY: Dallas "Dall" Rudebeck, 82, of Humbird, Wisconsin and formerly of Hampshire, died Monday, March 19, 2001 in St. Joseph's Palliative Care Unit, Marshfield, Wisconsin. He was born February 7, 1919 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Hans and Eleanor (Nichols) Rudebeck.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and married Roselyn Wolthausen on November 17, 1945 in Barrington. They farmed in the Hampshire area for 27 years, retiring to Wisconsin in 1980. He was a member of the American Legion in Hampshire.
Survivors include his wife, Roselyn, a son, Donald (Cindy) Rudebeck of Merrillan WI, Kathleen (Duane) Engel of Hampshire, two sisters Marjorie Mishler of Waverly, Iowa and Lila Wildebuer of Fredricksburg, Iowa; five grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Rudebeck and a sister Mary Wideman.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, Merrillan, Wisconsin, the Rev. William Swan officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the East Lawn Cemetery, Alma Center, Wisconsin.
Friedns may call 7-9 PM, Thursday at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, Wisconsin, and also on Friday, one hour prior to services at the church.
