Agnes Mary Frances Sullivan, 97, of Waterloo, died at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Sunday, January 29, 2017.
Agnes was born on April 1, 1919 in Monona, Iowa, daughter of Alex and Cecelia (Fassbinder) Berns. She graduated from Monona High School.
Agnes married Thomas William "Bill" Sullivan in Monona, Iowa at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in 1941. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1978.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters.
Agnes is survived by four sons: David Sullivan of Waterloo, Paul Sullivan of Malvern, AR, John (Linda) Sullivan of Exeland, WI, and Bob (Marlys) Sullivan of The Villages, FL; four daughters: Dianne (Rick) Gordon of Des Moines, Sally Sullivan of Bettendorf, Mary (Joe) Boutott of Cedar Falls, and Beth (Mike) Sullivan‑Piskel of North Brook, IL; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Theresa Heller of Hazel Green, WI and Delores Wagner of Monona.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; three brothers, Hubert, Leo, and Joe Berns; and a sister, Jeanie McGuire.
