Biography--

Dennis Lee Hansen, age 75, of Waterloo, Iowa, died on Monday, February 27, 2017 at his home.

Dennis was born on January 3, 1942 in Waterloo; the son of Leo Dwayne and Elma (Apling) Hansen.

He married Marla Shuman of Cedar Rapids and they later divorced. Dennis worked at John Deere and Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1996; he had also worked Jack Rules Service Station.

He is survived by a daughter, Sherean Hansen; a sister, Kathleen Lawrence of Waterloo; a nephew, Mark Lawrence; an aunt, Betty (Bob) Wescome; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his uncles, and a cousin, Dana Apling.
