March 13, 1928 - June 5, 2016

CEDAR FALLS – Dr. Jean A. Trout, 88, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Ohio and Indiana, died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls.

She was born March 13, 2016 in Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter of Rev. Allen and Pearl (McNabb) Trout.

She earned her B.S. degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio; Master’s degree from Ball State University; and EdD from Indiana University. She was Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Northern Iowa for 21 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Services: Tuesday at NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel, Cedar Falls. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton, Ohio. Richardson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
