Virginia "Peggy" Kirkpatrick

October 25, 1928 - July 4, 2016

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Virginia “Peggy” Kirkpatrick, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, July 4, 2016, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

She was born October 25, 1928 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, daughter of Claude and Matilda (Junneman) Bresson. She married Wendell Kirkpatrick on December 7, 1946 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death in 2005.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School and was a cook at North Cedar Elementary School.

She is survived by a son, Kevin (Brenda) Kirkpatrick of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Kathi Kirkpatrick of Yonkers, NY, and Trish (Ed) Hander of Columbia, MO; two grandchildren, Amy (Jerahmi) Conkling and Jonathan (Christine) Hander; four great-grandchildren: Jameson and Jackson Conkling, Austin and Ashley Hander; three brothers: Claude (Helen) Bresson of Raymond, Gerald (Jill) Bresson of Joplin, MO, and Larry Bresson of Florida; and four sisters: Adeline Bresson of California, Dorothy (George) White of Waverly, Loretta (Dean) Priebe of Arizona, and Betty Curtis of New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Mary Louie Coverdill; four brothers: James, Kenneth, Kerry and Robert Bresson.

Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls.
