November 11, 1926 - January 26, 2017

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Nona A. Skyles, 90, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at UnityPoint Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

She was born November 11, 1926 in Kiester, Minnesota, daughter of Olaf and Anna Wittman Hermundstad. She married Donald J. Skyles on August 3, 1953 in Mason City. He died May 18, 1995.

She worked as a secretary at International Harvester and was then the office manager at UNI Student Health Center.

She is survived by three daughters: Sally (Greg) Cox of Waterloo, Jane (Thomas) Flanigan and Mary Skyles, both of Scottsdale, AZ; ten grandchildren; and by nine great-grandchildren.

Nona was preceded in death by a son, Mark Skyles; brother, Earl Hermundstad; and by two sisters, Harriet Johnson and Mildred Hermundstad.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until Noon on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls. Inurnment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo.
