CEDAR FALLS – Jon Dwight Short, 53, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Cedar Falls died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at his home, of liver failure.

He was born May 29, 1963 in Cedar Falls, son of Dwight and Kay Kono Short. He married Annette Fuller on in Cedar Falls.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1981 and moved to Phoenix.

Survived by: his wife of Phoenix; two daughters, Paige and Caitlin Short of Phoenix; a son, Zach Short of Phoenix; his mother, Kay Short Sutherland of Cedar Falls; twin sisters, Jodi (Michael) Guthrie of Phoenix and Jo Linn (Peter) Norman of Avondale, AZ; two nephews, Aaron and Eric and a niece, Randi Linn, all of Phoenix.

Preceded in death by: his father; a brother, Jeffrey Short; step father, Orslow “Bud” Sutherland; maternal grandparents, Lyle and Jean Miller; and paternal grandparents, Dwight and Leona Short.
