Ruby Lufkin Opfer, of Tempe, Arizona, passed away April 8, 2017.

Ruby was born in Cudworth, Saskatchewan, Canada on November 4, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Edna Kittrell Lufkin. She grew up in Waterloo, Iowa and graduated from East Waterloo High School.

She married Donald H. Opfer of Waterloo and they lived in Racine, Wisconsin, Lombard, Illinois, Santa Monica, Ca and Seattle, Wa, where husband pastored churches. After her husband's death she worked at Christian Heritage College and Scott Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by her sister, Opal Arms, sons Gary and David and daughter, Connie Wilson, ten grandchildren, four step grandchildren and twenty greatgrandchildren. Memorial service will be at Arizona Community Church, Tempe.
