Biography--

Evalina Lucille Jorgenson, 95 of Waterloo, Iowa, died Saturday April 1,2017, at NorthCrest Specialty Care Facility of natural causes.

She was born on October 21, 1921 in Clarinda, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Nellie Ruth Downs Gustafson. She married Darwin Jorgenson in Waterloo and he preceded her in death in December, 1996.

Mrs. Jorgenson worked as a cook/dietitian at Schoitz and Allen Memorial Hospitals and then at the Chesterfield Club retiring in 1979. She was a licensed Minister who enjoyed visiting the local nursing homes and ministering to the elderly, sick and shut-ins, which she continued to do as a resident of NorthCrest Specialty Care.

Survived by a son, Michael Morehead; a daughter, Margo Collins-Draine both of Waterloo; a sister, Josephine Augello of Traer; 23 grandchildren; 59 great-grand-children; 25 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse; a daughter, Carolyn Gary; three brothers James Wendell, Harold Lewis and Elmer Leroy Gustafson; two sisters, Margaret Baird and Frances Wilber.
