Biography

Holly Bravener Oswalt, 94 of Waterloo continued her path to eternal life with Jesus on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the NorthCrest Specialty Care.

She was born December 25, 1921 in Fredericksburg, IA., daughter of Reno and Vina Leitch Bravener. She graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1939 and attended Gates Business College.

She married Whitey Oswalt on September 22, 1947 in Jefferson City, Missouri. They loved traveling together and visited many of our National parks. He died February 25, 1970.

She worked at John Deere from 1946‑1962, the Waterloo Public Library from 1977‑1980, and was a clerk at Viking Pump from 1980‑1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Waterloo and belonged to Unity Circle.

Anyone who knew Holly fell in love with her spirit for life and her communication skills. She could carry the conversation with anyone and you never wondered where she stood on a topic.

She was a voracious reader and read two books a week from the Waterloo Public Library brought by her good friend Cheryl.

Holly is survived by her sister, Lugene Treloar, Sumner, IA, two nephews, Robert (Linda) Treloar, Fredericksburg, IA. and Roger (Suzanne) Treloar, Solon, IA. great‑nieces and -nephew: Chad, Alexandra, and Laura Treloar, all of Solon, IA. A good friend: Cheryl Scholl, Waterloo,

She is preceded in death by her: Parents, husband, infant brother and great‑niece, Joy Treloar
