Virginia Walker, 93, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and formerly of Elk Run Heights, died Monday, October 24, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center of natural causes.
He was born October 5, 1923, in Arlington to George and Frances Smith Retz. She married Harold R. Walker on Nov. 27, 1943, at First Baptist Church, Waterloo. He died Nov. 6, 2000.
Virginia graduated from Arlington High School in 1942. She was a homemaker and for a time had worked at Rath Packing, Eddie's Restaurant and Woolworth's. She also was a member of AMVETS Auxiliary since 1982.
She is survived by a son, Bob (Sylvia) of Elk Run Heights; three stepgrandchildren and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Max Retz; and a stepgreat-granddaughter.
She and Harold met at the Forum Roof on Sycamore Street, Waterloo. They made several trips to Washington state and traveled to Italy and Hawaii. She enjoyed working with flowers.
