Biography--

Patricia Ann "Patti" Hucka, 80, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Thursday, December 15, 2016 at UnityPoint Health—Allen Hospital in Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born June 22, 1936, in LeMars, Iowa to Floyd and Marcella Bradley Freeman. She married Dallas Lee Hucka, and they later divorced.

Patti graduated from Sac City High School in 1954 and from Briar Cliff with a bachelor of nursing in Sioux City, Iowa. She was a registered nurse at Allen Memorial Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 2008 at the age of 72.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the American Association of University Women. She also volunteered at Birthright of Cedar Falls.

Patti is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Ryan) Bonjour of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Lauren Forsberg, Michael (Whitney) Forsberg and Emma Bonjour; a brother, Jim (Barb) Freeman of Madison, Wisconsin; a sister in law, Evonne Freeman of Coralville, Iowa; nieces and nephews of Iowa, Wisconsin and Texas. She also leaves some very special friends who have become family and have been there through life’s turns.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gregory S. Hucka; and a brother, Bob Freeman.
