Biography--

Mary Ann Glass, 78, of Waterloo, died at Covenant Medical Center Sunday, March 12, 2017 of lung cancer.

She was born December 30, 1938 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of John and Florence Ewen Fellenzer. She married Eldon "Sonny" Glass on June 7, 1958 in Waterloo. Mary Ann graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1956. She was employed at GMAC for 21 years until her retirement and was also a Realtor for Martin Realty. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Waterloo.

She married the boy next door, actually they lived across the alley from each other. Her sweetheart of 58 years! Mary was on the East High class reunion committee for 60 years. She liked sewing and gardening. She was an avid reader, some years reading over a hundred books. Mary Ann enjoyed drawing and painting. Lots of her friends and family have her paintings. Her specialty was making her own Christmas cards for over 40 years, which she sent out over a hundred each year.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, a son, Dan Glass of Waterloo; daughter, Dawn (Scott) Duecker of Lisbon, IA; four grandchildren: Derek and Shanelle Duecker and Kelsey and Karly Wiederin; five great‑grandchildren: Natalee Wiederin, Julia Young, Laylah Davidson, Paisley Young, and Tayte Davidson; a brother, Jack (Sue) Fellenzer of Arkansas; and a sister, Sharon (Ron) Simpson of Dike, Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Julie Wiederin.
