Celebration of Life Services: 10:00 am, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Locke Funeral Home.

Cemetery:
Burial of Cremains will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Military Rites by the American Legion Post #138, VFW Post #1623 and the Iowa Army National Guard Honor Guard.

Biography--

Wayne H. Badger, 92 of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Elizabeth E. Martin Center of the Western Home Communities.

Wayne was born on July 29, 1924 in Wadena, Iowa, son of Harold E. and Alice M. Smith Badger. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 17th and 82nd Airborne Divisions. He was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge and received the Purple Heart.

He married Marlys E. Stoner on February 8, 1946 at the Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, Waterloo. He worked for Rath Packing Co. for 43 years in maintenance scale repair until 1984. He also worked part-time security at Conway Civic Center and later drove cars for area dealers. He was a member of the Waterloo Police Auxiliary for 27 years and a member of the American Legion Waterloo Post #138.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Marlys of Cedar Falls; daughter, Debra (Terry) Sellers of Midland, GA; and two grandchildren, Lindsey and Benjamin Sellers.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
