WILLIAM YOCKSTICK
Funeral services for William Yockstick, 86, former Waterloo resident, who died Saturday, May 6, at his home in Battle Creek, Mich., of complications incident in advanced age, will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Kearns Garden chapel.
He was born Mar. 26, 1864, at West Sand Lake, N.Y.
His marriage to Ella Clark took place on Nov. 6,1886 at Hudson, Ia.
During his residence in Waterloo, he was engaged in the carpenter trade.
Moving with his family to Battle Creek 20 years ago, he was employed in the Sibert laundry there. He later worked as a carpenter.
His wife preceded him in death in 1947.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marie Meyer and Mrs. Eva Ridpath both of Battle Creek, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and a brother.
Mrs. Nettie Allsup, Christian Service leader will officiate at the funeral service, Thursday.
Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
