DAVID BULLERS

David was born on September 21, 1934, in Newton, Iowa, the son of Samuel and Gladys (Lauritson) Bullers.

On September 4, 1971, he was united in marriage to Alice D. Olson Lane at the Unitarian Church in Cedar Falls. He attended Newton High School before continuing his education at the University of Northern Iowa. While attending UNI he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1958 and his Master's Degree in 1966. He was an instructor in both mathematics and physics.

He then worked as the Director of Media for the Cedar Falls School System for 40 years. He was a past Presdient for the Cedar Falls Rough Risers Kiwanis Club, past President of the Friends of Cedar Falls Public Library, and past President of the Cedar Valley Danes.

He is survived by his wife, Alice of Cedar Falls; sons, Finn M. (Anne) Bullers of Kansas City, Kansas, Tom D. Bullers of Iowa City, Iowa; brothers, Sam (Marge) Bullers of Tucson, Arizona, Paul (Betty) Bullers of Grinnell, Iowa; Jon (Pam) Bullers of West Branch, Iowa; sister, Anna (Doyle) Mulbrooke of Rockford, Illinois; two grandchildren.

David died Monday, January 31, 2005, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dan.

Memorial services will occur later in the spring, with inurnment in the Elmwood Cemetery, Dike.
