Otto Burgess, 55, farmer living on rural route No. 3 dies at 4 p.m. yesterday at his home after an extended illness.

Mr. Burgess was born in Waterloo in 1871 and later moved with his parents to Tama county. He returned to Black Hawk county 25 years ago.

Surviving are two brothers A.B. Burgess, Waterloo, and Charles Burgess Eau Claire Wis. and a sister, Mrs. Laura Woodard, Seattle Wash.

The body is at O'keefe & Towne mortuary pending funeral arrangements.

Note: Jesse Jr. went by Otto, he was enumerated more than once as "insane since childhood". He actually died in the Mount Vernon Home for the Insane in Iowa.
