Michele "Mickette" Chastaing Makinster

Michele "Mickette" Chastaing Makinster, 85, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died at: Cedar Valley Hospice Home Monday, May 31, 2016, after a brief illness.

She was born January 30, 1931, in Reims, France, the daughter of Pierre and Emma Anaspasie Goffinett Chastaing.

She married Russell F. Makinster, Jr. June 30, 1947, in New York City. He died December 8, 2002. She was a homemaker in her own home and was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church and volunteered at the Western Home Communities.

She is survived by her son, Frank (Karen) Makinster, Cedar Falls; son, John (Barbara) Makinster, Poway, CA; son, Robert (Jeri) Makinster, Rockford, IA; daughter, Peggy Makinster, Waterloo; daughter, Suzanne Makinster, Waterloo; sister, Monique (John) Campo, Bridgewater, MA; granddaughter, Hayley Makinster, London, England; brother-in-law, Richard (Wilma) Makinster, Marion, IA; brother-in-law, Wayne Spear, Longmont, CO; and a sister-in-law, Denyse Chastaing, Longuyon, France.

She was preceded by her parents; her husband; daughter, Anne Marie; brother, Jean Chastaing; infant sister, Jeanne Chastaing; sister, Reine (Guy) DeLange; and sisters-in-law, Kay Johnson and Bette Spear.
