Biography--

Larry Gage, 69, formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, died suddenly of natural causes at his farm in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, instead of in his bass boat fishing as he had so hoped.

Larry Gage was born on March 22, 1947 in Waterloo to Chuck and Charlotte (Ridgeway) Gage, Sr. He attended Orange Public School.

Larry served in the Vietnam War and was a proud U.S. Army Ranger. He was awarded two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart.

He was an accomplished salesman who worked for several successful businesses specializing in tool and die equipment, and HVAC steam systems.

Larry married Lana Sergeant and they had three daughters Tina Gage, Amy (Aaron) Mishler, Kara Gage-Wolf; they later divorced. Larry married Adrienne Cruz in 1993 and they have one son Danton Gage. He is also survived by two siblings: Chuck Gage and Beverly Penne. Larry was a beloved grandfather to five grandchildren: Emily Gage, Gage Walter, Bobbi Wolf, Aden Gage-Rolf, and Andrew Gage; and four great grandchildren Dayton Gage, Jamiah Malone, Serenity Malone, and Jeremy Malone, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry was a quintessential Bass Fisherman. He was a lifetime member of B.A.S.S. and a district director of Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Healthcare Engineering Assoc. (WHEA), American Legion, and the Wisconsin State Horse Council (of which he was District 5 Vice President).

Larry worked hard all of his life. He took great pride in providing for his family. Larry enjoyed hunting, camping, snowmobiling and his wife's horses. He treasured his time fishing with his family and friends. Larry had a special gift in connecting with people with a servant's heart, telling stories with a sense of humor which had a special connection with many.
