Services for Forrest "Smitty" Smith 75, of 12 11 Janney Ave., will be 2 PM Saturday at Parrot & Wood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the West View Cem. LaPorte City. (Iowa)
Mr smith died Wednesday at his home.
He was born jan 16, 1907 at Clay County, son of Frank and Anna Kimm Smith. He married Esther
Rauch Nov 6, 1937 in Mason City. She died in 1971. He married Frances Elizabeth Shaw Mar 23, 1974, at Waterloo. He owned and operated "Smitty's Electric Service for 25 years, retiring in 1971.
Survivors include, his wife, a son Forrest Jr of Lakewood, CO; two daughters, Mrs Wenda Smith of Overland Park, KS; and Mrs Marilyn (Kaye) Sanchez of Des Moines, four grandchildren; a stepson, Francis Shaw, Evansdale; a step-daughter, Mrs. Judith Moore Cedar Falls and seven step-grandchildren and three great-step-grandchildren.
