Biography--

Golda V. Bowers, age 87 of Cedar Falls died on May 20, 2016 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

She was born on December 7, 1928. The daughter of Orval Andrew & Esther Wave (Aldrige) Kirkpatrick.

She married Carl Frederick Bowers, June 24, 1950 in Waterloo, he preceded her in death on October 17, 1978.

Golda was a homemaker and a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She loved BINGO, playing cards, fishing vacations, needlework and spending time with her family.

Survivors include three sons: Billy Lee (Brenda) Bowers of Waterloo, Bobby Joe (Diane Owens) Bowers of Traer, Barry Jon (Kris) Bowers of Buckingham; four daughters: Betty Lou (Michael) Brown of Waterloo, Becky Sue (Wilbur) Quinnett of Eldridge, Bonny Kay (Jeffrey) Heisterkamp of Cedar Falls, Betsy Ann (Timothy) Thompson of New Hartford; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Lorna Harper and Lois Schulz; three brothers: Orlo Kirkpatrick, Robert Kirkpatrick and Harry Kirkpatrick; and a daughter-in-law, Peggy Bowers.
