Obituary for Donald G. Neill

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Donald G. Neill, 90, of Cedar Falls, and formerly of Neenah, Wisconsin, died Sunday, May 15, at his daughter’s home in Cedar Falls.

He was born July 2, 1925 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the son of Gerald and Gertrude (Hambach) Neill. He graduated from Neenah High School in 1943. He served in the US Army from 1945-1946. On November 25, 1950, Donald married Dorraine Schultz in Neshkoro, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on October 27, 2013.

Donald worked for 43 years at Kimberly Clark Company in research and development, retiring February 1, 1988. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Neenah, Wisconsin.

He is survived by two daughters: Cheryl (David) Neill of Cedar Falls, and Denise Bolduc of Middleton, Wisconsin; and five grandchildren: Liesel Schaefer, Laura Neill, Eric (fiancé Abby Engel) Neill, Sarah Neill, and Robert Bolduc. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorraine, a baby son, and his sister Janice (Joseph) Sanders.

Family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls on Thursday, June 2nd from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church, Neenah, Wisconsin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27th.
Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls or Friends of the Cedar Falls Community Band.
