June 15, 1958 - May 1, 2016

Marvin “Marv” Daniel Christiansen was born on June 15, 1958, in Waterloo, the son of Eldon and Darlene (Tanner) Christiansen.

Marv died at the age of 57 on Sunday, May 1, 2016, ay UnityPoint Allen Hospital in Waterloo surrounded by his family. He worked many years at the Traer Grocery Store, Vokoun’s Auto, and the Traer Redemption Center. Marv was always willing to help out anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Marv is survived by a very close and loving friends, Rebecca Phillips and her children; two loving dogs, Candy and Saddie; three sisters, Deb (Jerry) Hielscher of Lake City, Minnesota, Shelly (fiancé Chad McLoud) Bradley of Melcom, and Rachel (Jason) Lassuy of Clinton, Tennessee; three brothers, Rick (Glenna) Christiansen of Belle Plaine, Mark (Christy) Bradley of Traer, and Mike (Amy) Bradley of Traer; seven nephews; and three nieces.

Burial will be in Buckingham Cemetery in rural Traer, Iowa.
