Alberta Miller

Biography--

Alberta Miller, 76, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at UnityPoint Health ‑ Allen Hospital on Thursday April 28, 2016.

Alberta was born on December 9, 1939, in Waterloo, daughter of Albert and Iona (Jarchow) Schnor.

She married Marvin Duane Miller, June 15, 1957, Nashua, IA at the Little Brown Church.

Alberta was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.

She is survived by her husband; four sons: Ronald (Robin) Miller of Mason City, Randall (Taeko) Miller of Tucson, Ariz., Roger Miller of Pella, and Rick (Amy) Miller of Gilbert, Ariz.; five grandchildren: Rachel (Joshua) Heirigs, Kimberly Miller, Tyler Wolfe, Thomas Miller, and Miranda Miller; and one brother, Richard (Sandy) Schnor of West Union.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Francis and Virgil Schnor; and three sisters: Ruth Opperman, Lois Duwe, and Verda Rider.

Alberta enjoyed spending time with family, playing the organ, polka dancing, riding her bike, quilting, crocheting, and crafts. Alberta loved to be outside and enjoyed her garden and flowers.
