Biography--

Marlene P. Miller, age 79, of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Lakeview Landing in Waterloo.

She was born February 6, 1937, in Waterloo, the daughter of Victor R. and Julia Lemley Barron. Marlene was united in marriage with David L. Miller on November 20, 1953 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1993.

Marlene was a homemaker and also worked at Rath Packing Co., was an Avon Lady for several years, a food demonstrator for Sam’s Club and worked for Aramark food service at the John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo. She was an active member of Raymond United Methodist Church, assisting with many church functions over the years. Marlene was a member of a sewing club, enjoyed gardening and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas D. (Debra) Miller and Craig A. (Tiffanie) Miller; a daughter, Dawn (Jim Clements) Reinertson, all of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren: Rick, Bob, Dave, Mike, Kate, Neal, Natalie, Emily, Ben, Morgan and Logan; and eight great-grandchildren: Madison, Morgan, Marin, Matthew, Sam, Grace, Ava and RaeLynn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Jeanne Oldenburger.

Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Raymond United Methodist Church, 6903 Lafayette St. in Raymond.
