Biography--

Gladys G. Schellhorn, 90, of Waterloo, died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart.

She was born September 27, 1925 in Ames, the daughter of James and Iva (Brown) Bates.

She married Arlin C. Schellhorn on October 28, 1956 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting and crocheting everything.

She is survived by two sons, Don (Pam) Schellhorn of Dysart and Russ (Brenda) Schellhorn of Waterloo; five grandchildren: Nate (Gina) Schellhorn, Brandon (Jessica) Schellhorn, Steve (Tiffany) Schellhorn, Melissa Schellhorn, and Ryan (Jessica) Schellhorn; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James Bates; and one sister, Edna Brown.
