Biography--

Marjorie B. Scheel, 93, of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Thursday, March 3 at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was born May 1, 1922, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of George and Lydia Gushard Butler. She married Joe H. Scheel April 24, 1939, in Waterloo. He died December 21, 1984.

Marjorie was employed at the Black Hawk County Court House in the deeds office for many years.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, including Arlene (Gerald) Stocks of Waterloo and Carol (Clyde) Smith of rural Independence.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Arthur Butler and three sisters, Helen Harrold, Lillian Tounshendeaux and Thelma Kuyrkendall.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 234 South Hackett Road, Waterloo. Visitation for an hour before services.

Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Valley Lutheran School.

Marjorie's loves included her church, gardening and quilting.
