Bruce Edward Whittle was born January 6, 1939 in rural Monona, Iowa: the son of Wyman and Charlotte (Kurdelmeyer) Whittle. He was employed at John Deere, retiring December 31, 1995, after 29 years of employment. Bruce was united in marriage to Carol (Hesse) Adams on October 7, 1989. He loved old cars, especially Ford.
Bruce passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 at his home after a lengthy illness at the age of 77.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Wesley Whittle and a sister Geraldine Johnson. Bruce is survived by his wife Carol of Waterloo; a son Troy (Kelly) Whittle of Evansdale and two step-sons: Theron (Connie) Adams of Denver and Kyle Adams of Waterloo; three grandsons: Devin, Zach and Alex; two step-grandchildren: Letasha and Nicholas and two step-great-grandchildren: Brayden and Starla
