Bethyl “Beth” McDougall, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Care Center.

She was born November 22, 1929 in Dunkerton, Iowa, the daughter of Charles & Alvena (Kalenske) Ford. She married Floyd McDougall November 26, 1949 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death March 16, 2005. Beth graduated from Waterloo West High School, was a secretary and bookkeeper with the National Bank of Waterloo and also with the National Dairy Cattle Congress.

Survivors include two sons, Randy (Paula) McDougall of Cedar Falls and David (Kathy) McDougall of Huntington Beach, California; two daughters, Lori (Michael) Lang of Overland Park, Kansas and Karen McWilliams of Gardendale, Alabama; three grandchildren: Zachary Lang, Morgan Lang and Rebecca McWilliams; a step grandchild, Michael (Heather) Short and a step great-grandson, Everett Short.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a step grandson, Steven (Bonnie) Short.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church.
