Death: February 13, 2016Peggy M. Manahl, 68, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, February 13, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
She was born August 31, 1947 in Dubuque, daughter of Nicholas and Teresa Moriarty Grevas. She married Dennis K. Manahl, Sr. on November 23, 1970. He died July 24, 2015.
Peggy graduated from Senior High School in Dubuque. She was employed with Sartori and Covenant Medical Center for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Barb (Mike) Gustafson of Waterloo; three sons: Leo Manahl of Germany, Michael Manahl of Ames and Dennis “D.J.” (Heidi) Manahl, Jr. of Dunkerton; five grandchildren: Adam, Bradley, Isabel, Christian and Noah; a brother, Bill (Annie) Grevas of Salina, Kansas; a sister, Tammy (Paul) Kimminau of Salina, Kansas; and an uncle, John Nicks of Dubuque.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 6:30 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will continue at the church for an hour before services on Wednesday.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
