Biography--

Karla K. Loonan, 56, of Waterloo, died at her home on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, of natural causes.

She was born December 6, 1959, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of John and Janette McConnell Provin. She married Martin D. “Marty” Loonan on January 2, 2003 in Waterloo. Karla was a 1978 graduate of Waterloo West High School; went to Hawkeye Community College from 1992-1993 and received her AAS in Civil and Construction Technology. She was an engineering technician for the Bremer County Engineer office, retiring in May 2006. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale.

Survivors include her husband Marty of Waterloo; half-brother BJ Provin of Mason City and her Aunt Della Phelps of Denver, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wes Provin; and an infant brother.

Memorial Services: Monday, February 15, 2016 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Evansdale
