Biography--

Betty Frances Scott, age 68, of Evansdale, formerly of La Porte City, died on Monday, February 8, 2016 at her home.

She was born April 19, 1947, in La Porte City, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Vaughn) Scott. Betty was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Elk Run Heights.

Betty loved to play cards and BINGO, she enjoyed playing Sizzling 7’s with Carole, and fishing with her son Larry. Most of all she loved being around her family.

Survivors include a son, Larry (Debbie) Scott of Parkersburg; three daughters: Brenda Scott of Parkersburg, Debra (Greg) Spaulding of Sebring, Florida, Teresa (William) Leasure of Bennet, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Mary (Harold) Steen of Waterloo, Carole Barrett, Jan Dunegan and Patti Howard, all of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Barb Morris, Evelyn Kearns, and Kathy Smith; and by two brothers, Donald Scott and Jimmy Scott.

Services:
Friday, February 12, 2016 at Faith Assembly of God: 5112 Lafayette Road, Elk Run Heights, Iowa

Visitation:
Family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will be held at a later date in the West View Cemetery.
