Dorothy J. Schlicht, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. She was born September 8, 1927 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Gertrude (McKeen) Zimmerman.

Dorothy married Warren R. Schlicht on November 8, 1947, near Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2013. Dorothy was a graduate of Hudson High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College (UNI). She farmed with her husband for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Bucy of Hudson and Diane (Todd) Karr of Montour, Iowa; three sons, Dennis (Linda) Schlicht of Center Point, Iowa, Larry Schlicht of Hudson and Rex (Valarie) Schlicht of Manchester, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, and a brother-in-law, Leon Christensen, of Reinbeck, Iowa.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a son-in-law, Ed Bucy; her sister and husband, Alene and Alvin Lundberg; her brother-in-law and his wife, Kenneth and Willadean Schlicht, and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Christensen.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016, at the Community Church of Hudson, with burial at Hudson Cemetery. Visitation will be 4—7:00 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church.
