Biography--

Kolan K.C. “Korkee” Ransom, 59, of Waterloo, died Saturday, January 30, at home.

He was born July 24, 1956, in Waterloo, the son of Karl and Dorothy O’Connor Ransom. He graduated from East High School and was employed as an over the road truck driver for many years.

Survivors include his father, Karl (Maxine) of Des Moines; a son, Josh Friedley of Waterloo; a sister, Kathy (Rod) Kern of Hazelton.

Preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Salzwedel.

Memorial Service: Friday, February 5, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Visitation one hour prior to services Friday.
