APLINGTON, IOWA - Dennis P. Morehouse, 62, of Aplington, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at UPH-Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

He was born April 25, 1953 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, son of Raymond and Mildred (Bahr) Morehouse. He married Brenda Kelley on July 21, 2012 in Aplington.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a self-employed semi-truck driver, retiring in 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; a daughter, Heather Fonseca of Waterloo; step son, Joseph (Sharon) Muir of Ackley; step daughter, Mary Matt of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; three brothers: David (Phyllis) Morehouse of Waterloo, Karl (Renee) Morehouse of Cedar Falls, and Jerry (Lisa) Morehouse of Waterloo; nine sisters: Arlene (Kenny) Bauler, Margaret (Mark) Marshal, Betty (Marvin) Weber, and Karen (David) Weber, all of Waterloo, Ann Noe of Marshalltown, Mary Boyce of Cedar Falls, Bonnie (Tim) Fairbanks of Wellington, KS, Jean Taylor of St. Cloud, FL, and Janet (Lloyd) McIntyre of Wayland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Morehouse.

Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Military honors will be conducted by the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 Honor Guard.
