Biography--

Charlotte V. Gregory, 87, of Waverly, Iowa, and formerly of Waterloo, died at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly on Tuesday, January 12, 2016.

Charlotte Viola Lathrop was born December 30, 1928 in Nashua, Iowa, daughter of Clark and Irene Hansen Lathrop. She attended Waterloo East High School.

She married Gerald Leroy Gregory on December 8, 1945, in Queen City, Missouri. He died September 27, 1994. She was a homemaker in her own home.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Shirley Corwin of Cedar Falls, Iowa; a son, Michael Gregory of Waterloo, Iowa; grandson, Curt Gregory; two step grandsons, Paul (Kathy) Corwin and Dan (Lisa) Corwin; three great‑grandchildren; four step great‑grandchildren and eight step great‑great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers, Leroy Lathrop of Waterloo and Allen (Delores) Lathrop of Mason City, Iowa, and two sisters: Betty (Bill) Linstrom of Ottumwa, Iowa and Carolyn (Mark) Ackerman of Dunkerton, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by two sons‑in‑law, William R. Bandfield and Lester Corwin.
